Simmons sales surge 20%: profits take hit

Katrina crushes business

Hurricane Katrina has stopped all furniture work in southern Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Almost all furniture shops in New Orleans and along the coast of Mississippi are demolished. There can be no furniture work going on in this area for the fourth quarter of 2005.
