Many teenagers in Shanghai, China, spend their time in small discos that compare poorly to the karaoke bars popular among affluent locals and Taiwanese. The teenagers who haunt these discos do not drink alcohol in deference to their parents' wishes. The discos closed before midnight to encourage their patrons to go home early.

TI's rebate
