Life after burnout
Article Abstract:
Burnout and related stress problems cost US businesses an estimated $100 billion annually. Burnout should not be confused with stress alone. The characteristics of burnout include job boredom, cynicism, poor concentration, forgetfulness, low commitment, chronic fatigue, moodiness, and physical symptoms such as stomach disorders, backaches, and high blood pressure. Burnout candidates experience job-related stress more than any other kind, and they are usually idealistic and self-motivated achievers who have unrealistic goals.
