Article Abstract:
The UK Conservative party is considering ways in which it can boost its popularity. It continues to perform very badly in opinion polls, even though the economy is slowing down and a number of cabinet ministers have been involved in scandals. The Conservatives must consider how they can appeal to more ordinary people, they must place more emphasis on local communities and must look to the future, rather than becoming trapped in nostalgia. Party leader William Hague is set to unveil some new ideas shortly.
