The Mercer Museum Folk Fest

The annual Mercer Museum Folk Fest features demonstrations by potters, candlemakers and other craftsmen using the tools collected by Pennsylvania tile maker, historian and scholar Henry Chapman Mercer. The 1999 Folk Fest offers a special exhibition of firefighting tools and devices, of which Mercer's collection is one of the country's largest.

George Washington stops here: the bicentennial
Article Abstract:
Several events are being organized to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washington's death on Dec 14, 1799. These include reenactment of Washington's funeral, museum exhibits, traveling exhibitions and tours of battlefields and farmlands.
