Co-operation in a spirit of trust
Article Abstract:
Germany's labor law is aimed at protecting the employees' rights and fostering a more harmonious relationship between the workers and their employers. However, these laws do not always preserve corporate competitiveness. Most of these laws, such as the Dismissal Protection Act, tend to discriminate against younger but more skilled employees who can provide the industry with much-needed technical expertise.

Trust and its alternatives
Article Abstract:
The relationships between trust, reputation, bargaining power, and contracts between smaller and larger entrepreneurial firms are examined. The results suggest that while the role of trust is important, it is more effective when combined with other governance devices.
