Gender pay gap narrows

Article Abstract:

According to the 2003 New Earning Survey, the gender pay gap in average hourly pay of full time employees narrowed by one percentage in the past year. The difference in pay between the average hourly rate of female part-timers and men working full time is seen as a key indicator as 43 percent of women work part time.

According to data from Office for National Statistics, gender pay gap for full-time earnings in United Kingdom has come down marginally, i.e., almost 1%, since last year.
