The prospective employee should demonstrate the following skills or attributes: change experience, marketing skills, time management, team player ability, talent to use information, interpersonal skills, personal accountability, computer literacy, involvement, and knowledge of when to respond to direction and when to act.

Effective employment interviewing can be achieved by employing a questioning strategy that increases the volume of honest information an interviewer gets from an applicant. The steps in the strategy include developing rapport with applicants; identifying congruence in applicants' dress, behavior, and answers; and showing acceptance for and interest in applicants.
