Is there a future for defined benefit pensions in the United States?
Article Abstract:
It is shown that many American firms are switching over from defined contribution (DC) retirement packages to defined benefit (DB) pensions. Based on a survey of over 500 firms from 2000 to 2005, the claim that DB pension is a moribund scheme is disproved.
