People, politics and pay
Article Abstract:
There are significant cultural, political and social differences between China and the UK. However, Britons who live and work in China generally have a very positive experience. They find the Chinese friendly, and find it satisfying to do business in China. Expatriates in China enjoy a relatively high standard of living, and they benefit from a salary which will probably be between 50% and 100% higher than their UK equivalent. Other benefits include accommodation allowances and tax breaks.

Police officers most at risk from repeated exposure to CS sprays
Article Abstract:
Mixed views have been expressed about the UK government's decision to allow police officers to use CS sprays for defensive purposes when facing violent attacks. Some observers feel that other incapacitant sprays should have been tested before approval was given for any device. There is also concern about the possible risk to police officers from repeated exposure to CS sprays, which are linked with reproductive hazards.
