Organizational climate comprised of tension, resistance to change and conflict, tends to have a negative effect on return on assets. Organizational strategies like the firm's commitment to capital investment, innovation, quality etc. are also important determinants for firm performance.

The effects of stigmatizing organizational events on the career moves of employees are examined. Such events signaling the decline of corporate performance have the most negative impact on professional career success. These events affect professionals regardless of hierarchical level.
