The impact of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma, on property and casualty insurance industry is analyzed. Based on these effects, it is expected that insurance premiums will be higher for certain type of insurance. Other issues related to the industry like Eliot Spitzer's investigation, finite reinsurance, etc., are also discussed. The progress on asbestos claims is discussed. Mergers and acquisitions in the industry are continuing to dwindle.
