Bermuda's new registration rules prompt stronger regulatory ties

Bermuda completed the re-registration of its insurance companies in Jan 1996. The Insurance Amendment Act of 1995 required the country's 1,401 insurance entities to register into one of four license classifications. The re-registration process strengthened the partnership between the Register of Companies and regulated insurers on the island.
