Met P&C adds twist to workplace selling

Metropolitan Property & Casualty Insurance Co has rolled out an Internet selling program for personal lines insurance for employees of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The Utah program allows employees to access marketing information and prices on the firm's insurance products by interconnecting into the university's home page via their office or home computers. It has also launched an intranet selling program with Microsoft Corp, where 11,000 employees in Washington can access the Metropolitan home page from work.
