Nine-month review of life/health insurers
Article Abstract:
A list of health and life insurance companies rated for their financial strength during a nine-month period of 1992 is presented. The companies were evaluated by Best's Rating Monitor based on financial statements and perceived ability to meet policyholder obligations. Best's Rating Monitor evaluated 1,185 nine-month financial statements and changed 27 ratings from its spring 1992 evaluation. More than 200 ratings were not reviewed because of a lack of quarterly financial statements.

Best's rating monitor: six month review of life/health insurers
Article Abstract:
Sixteen life or health insurance companies are reviewed for their financial soundness. The current letter grade of each company is supplied along with its last rating. A capsule summary of the reason for the rating is included. Forty-three companies are listed which were rated for the previous six months but did not supply information for this evaluation. A guide to the rating system is included.
