Pension administration made ... easy!
Article Abstract:
More companies are shifting from defined benefit (DB) pension plans to defined contribution (DC) pension plans because they view DBs as very difficult to administer. However, improvements in information technology, regulations and practice standards have actually simplified DB administration. Companies planning to shift to DBs should first consider if they are unintentionally making DB administration more difficult than it actually is and if DCs are actually easier to administer.

Article Abstract:
An overview is presented on 401(k) plans, or salary reduction savings plans, with analysis focusing on a comparison between the choices male and female employees make.
