Reinventing benefits
Article Abstract:
The new employer-employee relations being formed in corporate America entail the formulation of new human resources, compensation and benefits strategies. Some firms have implemented a new planning process called 'life plan resources,' which presupposes that benefits should be customer-oriented and should support the new corporate reality. This process has allowed many companies to produce innovative programs to assist employees in managing their resources, time and goals.

Article Abstract:
Broadbands or career bands provide a method of salary administration. These bands may cover several wage ranges, have maximum and minimum points and may overlap other bands. While career bands present management an administrative tool with limited mobility for compensation planning, wide salary ranges provide more scope and save time in salary administration.
