Risk management market opens up in Japan
Article Abstract:
The recent disasters in Japan coupled with the government;s alteration of the insurance regulations have created a powerful need for risk managers in that country. Recently the government decided to strengthen product liability laws favoring consumers, and new expertise in risk management is needed by many firms. The Kobe earthquake also created a need for Western risk managers to help insurers assess claims and balance risk in the future.
