Article Abstract:
Insurance companies can compensate for the limitations of the Internet by using the extranet, a private computer network of several organizations that relies on Internet interactive technology. Extranets ensure the reliability, security and manageability of the Internet while enhancing the flow of communication among businesses, suppliers and clients. It is imperative for insurers, therefore, to develop an efficient and effective Internet strategy as part of their overall business environment.
