The ethics of insurance agents vs. insurance students: the educational implications
Article Abstract:
The differences in the degrees of professional and personal ethics in insurance agents and insurance students was evaluated using data from practitioners in the state of Florida and enrollees majoring in risk management and insurance. Results revealed that students and professional agents tend to behave in dissimilar ways in particular personal or ethical cases. Both groups were generally shown to behave more unethically in personal situations than in matters concerning business or profession.
