Human resources executives should understand the nature and industrial status of their companies. To be considered a business partner, they should analyze financial reports and determine the strategies aimed at achieving corporate mission statements. Financial statements become more meaningful when compared to those of competitors. Previous 10K reports and corporate relationship with auditing firms should also be investigated.
