Fear, interest and honor: Outlines of a theory of international relations
Article Abstract:
The need for a new paradigm of politics based on the spirit, which the fifth-century Greeks considered one of the three psychic drives, is a reasonable fact. At every level of social aggregation the importance of spirit in politics is ignored so there is need to conceptualize it in a manner that helps one understand this importance as even a casual examination of international relations in the modern period shows the importance of the spirit.
