Beware of false prophets: Biology, human nature and the future of International Relations theory
Article Abstract:
The possibilities and the problems that might be encountered due to the mainstream International Relations (IR) theorists increasingly turning to the biological sciences for inspiration and intellectual legitimacy are explored. A variety of political and theoretical reasons are presented to the IR scholars so that they can be wary of using biological sciences to provide universalistic accounts of human behavioral patterns.
