'Mandela mania': Mainline churches in post-apartheid South Africa
Article Abstract:
The public role of mainline churches in post apartheid South Africa and their interaction with the political discourse are examined. It is possible to identify a shift in the church's action, passing from a position of alignment and non-confrontation with the government to a situation of disengagement and critical opposition.

The mourning in post-apartheid literature and the relation between literary invention, the invention of mourning rites and the invention of new forms of community are examined. The mourning in post-apartheid communities has become a way of 'testifying to a fundamental commonality.'

Migration after apartheid: deracialising South African foreign policy
Article Abstract:
This article discusses South Africa's strict immigration policy as being an obstacle to overturning apartheid's legacy. The author believes that the policies are not race related, as in the past, but are motivated by xenophobia.
