The Republic of China on Taiwan: active partner in the Pacific Rim
Article Abstract:
The Republic of China (ROC) on Taiwan, which follows the principles of democracy, is looking for an international identity and seeks the help of the US to achieve greater progress. The ROC, which has achieved great economic progress, wants to eventually reunify with mainland China but the reunification should not take place overriding the interests of the people of both countries. ROC's entry into the UN will help to solve its problems with mainland China.
