An emerging consensus on controlling corruption
Article Abstract:
The problem of corruption in business dealings taking place in countries with developing economies is serious and must be addressed to further those economies and to increase international free trade. Corrupt officials and transactions result in prominence of businesses with mediocre technologies and business acumen. Some success at addressing the problem has been made by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development which is an organization of western industrial nations with the aim of eliminating corrupt western private sector transactions with foreign officials.

Sealing the conceptual cracks in the SEC environmental disclosure rules: a risk communication approach
Article Abstract:
The European Union's environmental disclosure regime is more effective at communicating environmental risk than the US system, which is established by regulations of the Securities and Exchange System (SEC). The US should consider incrementally adopting some of the features of the European Eco-Management Scheme (EMAS), such as standardized disclosure and allowing environmental professionals to become involved in the disclosure process.
