Teaming up for high-tech re-training in Oregon

McMinnville, OR's Cascade Steel Rolling Mills has engaged in a partnership with Salem's Chemeketa Community College to train its 400 skilled workers in computer-controlled production technology. A group of Chemeketa teachers was created to develop an on-site training program suited to the needs of Cascade employees and management. The company regarded the program as a vital part of their strategy to advance into high-tech steel production.

An eerie graveyard

The luxury liner Titanic sank Apr 15, 1912, killing 1,523 of its 2,224 crew and passengers. In the summer of 1991, a unique expedition explored the remains of the ship using a Canadian-developed film technology called IMAX. An overview and photographs of the exploration are presented.
