Biases can be predicted in medical products cases; focus groups and mock trials can help litigators identify jurors' predispositions toward drug and device manufacturers
Article Abstract:
Pretrial jury research is crucial in cases involving medical devices or drugs since so many people either have friends or family who have been victims of medical mishaps or have been exposed to media publicity on the topic. Jurors will not ignore their personal experiences in deciding a case, and attorneys must know about jurors' values to properly plan cases. A careful voir dire can help eliminate jurors least likely to be impartial.

Mock trial can attract new client; legal showcase
Article Abstract:
Picking a pending case a corporate legal department is known to be having trouble with and offering to stage a mock trial can be an effective means of attracting a new client. This can be an opportunity to show the law firm's expertise in a real-life setting and is also a good way to give witnesses a trial run outside the courtroom.
