Can multinational businesses agree on how to act ethically?
Article Abstract:
Multinational companies need to develop business ethics that are useful in the countries they operate in. Such business ethics must address four areas of concern; the need to inculcate among employees standards of conduct such as honesty; the need to formulate corporate conduct standards for companies based on their corporate governance model; the need to outline company rules which are sensitive to the values of the host country; and the need for protocols for operating in host countries which fail to grant minimum civil law or human rights requirement.

The danger of self-delusion
Article Abstract:
People entering the world of big business should not fall prey to the kind of self-delusion that keeps them from making ethical business choices in order to increase profits. Businesses will always have some biased justification for their actions and existence, but it is important that executives are able to make decisions based on ethical, rather than corporate, standards. Ethical and socially responsible businesses are of greater benefit to the US in the long run.

The virtue of capitalism
Article Abstract:
People who choose to enter the business world should feel proud of their decision because business is what makes America the great country that it is. Creating jobs is the best way to help fellow Americans who might otherwise live on the dole, spending tax money generated by businesses and the people they employ. Because the country has achieved greatness through business, the private sector is as noble a place to be as the public service sector.
