Globalization: obsession or necessity?
Article Abstract:
The course of globalization need not be strictly regulated, nor will it necessarily devolve into a harsh winner-take-all free-market capitalism seen in the beginning of the industrial age. The US/World Bank vision of free capital markets and little or no barriers to trade appears to have many international skeptics, and that vision is certainly subject to modification and negotiation.

Environmental policy for business and government

Economists offer policies to deal with environmental problems most of which involve ways of designing government interventions. There is a great deal of dissatisfaction with government environmental policy in practice, no matter how well they are designed.
