After Sandoval: judicial challenges and administrative possiblities in Title VI enforcement
Article Abstract:
In Alexander v. Sandoval, the US Supreme Court ruled that individuals cannot bring suit to enforce Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964's ban on race discrimination by federally funded entities. This deprives administrative agencies of a crucial ally in enforcing Title VI. However, it also will cause agencies to re-examine their enforcement methods and perhaps change for the better.
