Evaluations of policies are crucial; what non-insurance lawyers need to know
Article Abstract:
Probate and tax attorneys who may be consulted by clients selecting a life insurance product for estate planning purposes need to know how to evaluate and monitor the performance of life insurance policies. Exercising due care in this area includes asking enough questions of life insurance agents and companies to determine the company's financial strength and how this may impact future performance. Attorneys also need to understand insurance illustrations in order to monitor a product's performance. Both attorney and client should keep track of carrier ratings.
