Lessons learned: an evaluation of the past and future of educational finance and administrative reform in Canada, Great Britain, and the United States
Article Abstract:
Various economic and social factors have contributed to the differing character of educational reforms in the US, Canada, and Great Britain. Experiments with school finance and administrative reforms have led to sometimes unanticipated results. Implementing school choice reforms may be inadvisable due to the inherent reliance of such reforms on the tenuousness of market conditions. Reforms which include charter schools are more likely to succeed in instituting reform goals while maintaining financial stability.
