Bigamy puts end to a legal career beyond reproach
Article Abstract:
Former Kentucky asst attorney general Gregory Nelson Holmes stood trial for bribery, theft and bigamy. He and a doctor for whom he once recommended a dismissal of disciplinary charges were accused of bribery. He was accused of theft for accepting his pay check for times when he was vacationing with her. He was also accused of bigamy for marrying a second wife after the doctor. He claimed innocence but he and the doctor were convicted on all counts.

Benching of an athlete with medical problems may spur legal claims
Article Abstract:
College athletes with medical conditions affecting their ability to play may be able to press this right to play legally by alleging constitutional due process or equal protection violations or violations of a property right. Some may execute liability waivers absolving the school of liability in the event of illness or injury due to their condition during competition, although courts do not always view such waivers favorably.
