The 30,000 clericals received raises ranging from 0-8%, while the bank's 8,900 managers received merit increases of between 0-14%.

Clydesdale Bank: new agreement adds 4.95% to paybill

UK insurance company Norwich Union introduced a clerical staff team bonus plant conjunction with its annual merit increases awarded in Apr 1996. Non-senior staff increases ranged from 0-6%.
