Negotiating demands for justice: public interest law as a problem solving dialogue
Article Abstract:
It is possible that teaching public interest law requires a different approach from teaching other kinds of law. It can be argued that it is important to establish a collaborative process by which students can determine how they will study public interest law, which by its very nature involves the sharing of ideas and concerns. In this way, students will gain an insight into the fact that public interest law is a narrative with many facets which are taken from real life experiences.

Training East Europeans to develop ADR and negotiating techniques
Article Abstract:
The Partners for Democratic Change (PDC) have been providing training for Eastern Europeans in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Government ministers, managers and labor leaders have taken part in PDC's sessions. PDC starts by establishing a common understanding of negotiation, then moves on to teach a 'core model' of negotiation, ADR processes and a mediation-arbitration approach. PDC also uses role play to help participants practice what they have learned.

Unbundling the executive right: a guide to interpretation of the power to lease and develop oil and gas interests
Article Abstract:
The concept of executive rights in oil and gas law has been developed on a state-by-state basis without any common source. A statutory solution may be required to eliminate inconsistencies. The characterization of an interest as either a mineral interest or a royalty interest is one of the most significant issues related to executive rights.
