Regional employment implications of a free trade agreement
Article Abstract:
A North American Free Trade Agreement among the US, Canada and Mexico would probably have a beneficial effect overall on employment in the US. Recent liberalization of trade between the US and Mexico has already resulted in over 250,000 new jobs in the US. Availability of cheaper labor in Mexico will probably not result in loss of US jobs because of other factors in which the US has advantages, such as labor force quality and developed infrastructure.

Enforcement of American workers' rights abroad
Article Abstract:
The Civil Rights Act of 1991 protects Americans working for US companies abroad from employment discrimination. The law overrules Boureslan v Aramco, in which the Supreme Court ruled that Americans working for US companies abroad are not protected by the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The law removes trade barriers by ensuring a free flow of labor in international business.
