Numbering paragraphs with WPWin 6.1; use the counter function to automatically number paragraphs in a document
Article Abstract:
WordPerfect for Windows 6.1 is ideal for creating complex documents and even includes a feature for automating the generation of numbered lists within text files. WordPerfect's Bullets and Numbers menu option can be used to manually add lists, but a far more convenient command is available via the Counter function, when implemented in the Paragraph Style feature. These commands automatically add tabs to paragraphs, insert the correct sequential numbers within the tabs and wrap the text to reflect the tabbed format. Different versions of the numbering scheme can be saved as Styles by executing a few simple commands in the Style Editor and the Style Setup dialog boxes. The styles can easily be removed from subsequent paragraphs when the user no longer wishes to have special formats applied.
