Clean fast track not Clinton fast track
Article Abstract:
The Clinton Administration's new fast track trade authority contains regulations which impose sanctions on countries do not meet US standards on labor and environmental issues. It imposes the country's own environmental standards on developing nations which do not have the necessary resources to fund pollution programs. In doing so, the US is hindering motivation to invest in human and physical capital which would help developing countries become more competitive in international markets.

Goodbye pesticides?
Article Abstract:
Observers claim that the hasty passage of the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 will bring more harm to consumers and the environment. In a bid to please opposing parties of the bill, FQPA has allegedly undermined the effects of exposure to pesticides. Observers suggest for Congress to readily address the "endocrine disrupter" characteristics of some pesticides and determine as to what level of cancer risk should be allowable.
