Relaxing the regulatory stranglehold on communications
Article Abstract:
Rapid technological advances achieved in the field of communications have resulted in the reduction of government control over public communication facilities. This is attributed to the fact that the legislative process tends to be conservative and its rate of progress is not as fast as technological progress. Politicians have encountered difficulties in addressing the demand for regulatory protection in communications because of the rapid proliferation and expansion of different types of communication systems.
