Smart search systems help to dredge data bases; diversity of data sources spurs evolution of high-tech tools for accurate information retrieval
Article Abstract:
A number of technological tools have been developed to aid data base searchers in their quests for accurate information retrieval. Natural language interfaces, neural nets, rule-based expert systems, and intelligent agent programs offer advantages over traditional Boolean search methods. Ruled-based expert systems utilizing legal concepts may someday permit computers to perform attorney-level feats of applied thinking and research.

Article Abstract:
The tobacco ruling was the headline case of the Florida Supreme Court's 1998 rulings, but the court also dealt with cases in other areas, including family law, criminal law and procedure, and various aspects of civil practice.
