The SEC's assault on electronic trading
Article Abstract:
The Securities and Exchange Commission is tasked with new regulatory challenges with the emergence of electronic stock exchanges. However, the SEC's proposed rules on electronic markets would place new burdens on the entrepreneurs who have developed successful electronic trading systems. The SEC's regulations are considered antiquated and would only stifle the development of innovative trade practices.
