The art of being a good advocate
Article Abstract:
Advocates in arbitration should above all remember the fundamentals of their craft and prepare before the case begins, especially with a strong and creative opening statement. This should set the tone for their case, ideally in vivid terms that establish a context for later evidence. Delaying the arbitration hurts one's position, as does a lack of understanding of how hearsay, leading questions, and objections are used in arbitration. An enthusiasm born of professionalism is equally vital.
