The effect of the prison environment upon inmate drug taking behaviour
Article Abstract:
A survey of prison inmates indicates that most are drug users but want help to break their addiction. Although 71% of the respondents surveyed indicated they were using drugs, the highest percentage of responses requested assistance. This includes establishing drug free units, health education, HIV testing, staff education, full detoxification and rehabilitation.

This article examines community penalties warrant enforcement in the UK and Wales. The possibility of establishing special enforcement systems and the views of enforcement staff are presented.
