A critique of the empirical methods of integrative social contacts theory
Article Abstract:
Integrative social contracts theory's (ISCT) methodology of integrating empirical methods with traditional philosophical analysis is ineffective in creating guidelines for international business ethics. Analysis shows that determination of authentic norms, hypernorms and relevant communities can be problematic because differences in orientations to communications context, moral reasoning and institutional and structural conditions exist. Such situation calls for the use of a stronger test for the compatibility of authentic norms with hypernorms.

Marketing strategies and the search for virtue: a case analysis of the Body Shop, International
Article Abstract:
A framework was proposed for the integration of virtue ethics into marketing theory. The framework illustrates that a detailed analysis of the ethical character of marketing decision makers and their strategies cannot be attained without taking into account the issue of virtue ethics. In a case study involving the Body Shop, International, it was revealed that greater comprehension of the challenges associated with selling products internationally can be achieved by taking into account virtue ethics.
