The Perceived Role of Ethics and Social Responsibility: an alternative scale structure
Article Abstract:
The Perceived Role of Ethics and Social Responsibility instrument was studied to determine its reliability and validity as a scale in measuring the perceived role of ethics and social responsibility in the achievement of organizational effectiveness in Hong Kong. Several approaches were used to analyze the findings such as the exploratory factor analysis, the confirmation factor analysis, and the regression analysis. Findings revealed several advantages of the instrument such as ease of administration, psychometrical validity, and shortness.

Due process procedures in faculty grievance codes
Article Abstract:
An analysis of five grievance procedures for faculty members in nonunionized private universities and colleges revealed some flaws in the their faculty grievance codes. Two common elements in the codes are grievants have to exert much effort to dispose of their grievances and an aggressive mediation is required to resolve the grievance if the first option fails. A university faculty grievance code that employs judicial due process to ensure fairness is presented.
