The right to treatment for involuntarily committed sex offenders
Article Abstract:
The author discusses the Supreme Court's decision in Kansas v. Hendricks upholding a state law permitting civil confinement of violent sex offenders after completion of their criminal terms. The Court's holding that these offenders have a constitutional right to treatment is addressed.
