"Women understand so little, they call my good nature 'deceit'": a feminist rethinking of seduction
Article Abstract:
A feminist reappraisal of the tort of seduction suggests its potential for promoting sexual reciprocity between men and women. A tort of sexual fraud is proposed to outlaw deceptive inducement to sex, strengthening the role of consent in determining lawful sexual behavior. The existing law concerning intentional misrepresentation can be adapted to provide compensation for the physical and emotional harms caused by sexual fraud. The social acceptance of seduction stems from a belief that lies and betrayal are inevitable aspects of sexual relations, a view which devalues harms experienced by seduced women.

Re-reading difference: feminist critiques of the law school classroom and the problems with speaking from experience
Article Abstract:
Gender-related issues in law school classrooms have been extensively addressed from feminist perspectives which ultimately repeat past mistakes of feminist theory. The tendency to homogenize women is salient in this context in the absence of attention to issues centering around unfemininity or lesbianism. A viable and applicable theory must recognize these issues which are inseparable from and provide illumination for other feminist issues. The foundation of feminist theory is strengthened by the influence of differences within gender and attention to the forces that create experience.
