Building your own local hall of records
Article Abstract:
News Engineering Inc. founder George Landau designed and built a system specializing in database libraries. Journalists have found that by using electronic databases of a local public records, they can build an electronic counterpart of local hall of records in readily accessible format. Building an electronic library can be easy depending on the support that can be received from a news organization. The system can be built with an advanced PC with plenty of storage space and relational database management system software and data.

Black lung claims languish
Article Abstract:
Coal miners suffering from pneumoconiosis, commonly called as black lung, have had a legal right to compensation for black lung as this condition has little hope of recovery. A paper 'Roanoke Times' investigated that rarely do the courts conscientiously protect that right, and hence the coal miners have little hope of getting financial compensation from the coal companies responsible for their condition.
