Cracks in nature's FTL armor

Article Abstract:

The Advanced Quantum Relativity Theory Propulsion Workshop, held in May 1994 at the Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory, drew experts and enthusiasts together to discuss various applications of quantum mechanics and relativity theory. The main focus was on faster-than-light travel and communications.

Our runaway universe and Einstein's cosmological constant

Article Abstract:

Recent astronomical evidence for a positive cosmological constant indicates that space itself has an intrinsic mass-energy (E = mc2). The cosmological constant, omega-sub-lambda, was introduced by Albert Einstein to reflect the energy density in the vacuum.
